Two shipwrecks offer home to plenty of local
marine animals including turtles, eagle rays,
eels, schools of colorful reef fish, eels and
octopi to name just a few. The first is the YO257
which was a US Navy yard oiler built in the 1940's.
It
was
bought
by Atlantis
Submarines
Hawaii and sunk as an artificial reef off Waikiki
in 1989. The ship rests upright in 100 ft
of water with the main deck about 85 ft. The
second wreck is the Sea Tiger which is 120 feet
in the bow in the sand, deck averaging about
100ft. Both are spectacular dives.
